Do Cambodians need a visa for Japan?

You need an eVisa.

eVisa

eVisa (electronic visa). A real visa application, made online instead of at an embassy. It is assessed, it takes days rather than minutes, and it can be refused.

You apply online before you travel and are approved before you fly. There is no embassy appointment and no interview — you fill in a form on the government's own site, pay the government's fee, and carry the approval with you.

Apply on the official Japan government site

This is the government's own portal. We are not paid to send you there, and there is no service in between.

Worth knowing

  • Japan charges the visa fee only if the visa is issued. An approved agency adds its own handling fee.
  • Visa fees rose on 1 July 2026. Older figures you see online are out of date.
  • Depending on your nationality and purpose, the fee may be waived or differ from the standard amount.
