Privacy policy
The short version: there are no accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter and no tracking of you as an individual across the web by us. What follows is the detail, including the parts about advertising that we are required to spell out.
In effect from 19 September 2026
Who is responsible
eVisaChecker is an independent site, operated from Nigeria. For the purposes of data-protection law, including Nigeria's Data Protection Act and the GDPR where it applies to visitors in Europe, eVisaChecker is the controller of any personal data described here.

What we do not collect
We want to be specific about this, because most privacy policies are not.
- No accounts. There is nothing to register for, so we hold no names, passwords or profiles.
- No email capture. There is no newsletter sign-up and no pop-up asking for your address.
- No saved trips or searches. When you use the checker, the requirement lookup happens in your browser. Which countries you chose is not sent to us and is not stored anywhere.
- No passport numbers, application references or documents. We are not an application service. Never send us any of these, and be suspicious of any site claiming to be us that asks for them.
- No payments. We take no money from travellers, so we hold no card or bank details.
What is collected
Server logs
The site is static and served by a content delivery network. Like any web server, it records requests: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. These logs exist to serve the page, to keep the site available and to stop abuse. They are held transiently by our hosting provider and we do not use them to build a profile of you.
Local storage in your browser
If a preference such as a colour theme is remembered, it is stored in your own browser and never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Advertising
This site is free to read and is funded by advertising. When advertising is running on a page, the following applies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of a wider set of vendors at aboutads.info/choices and optout.networkadvertising.org.
- Third-party vendors we do not control may also place cookies. Their use of your data is governed by their own policies, which are linked below.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising and analytics cookies that are not strictly necessary are set only where you have given consent, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time. See our cookie policy for how.
Analytics
We want to know which pages are read and which countries people are asking about, so we can decide which destination to research next. We do this with aggregate, cookie-free measurement that does not identify you and does not follow you to other sites. We do not use it to build individual profiles.

| Plausible Analytics | Aggregate traffic measurement | No cookies, no cross-site identifiers, no personal data | Not yet enabled |
This table is kept accurate. If we add a processor, it appears here and the effective date at the top of this page changes.
Links to other sites
The whole point of this site is to send you to a government portal. Once you follow one of those links, you are on that government's website and this policy no longer applies. We do not control, and are not responsible for, what those sites collect. The same applies to any commercial link that is clearly labelled as such.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no accounts and no contact details, there is usually very little to give you — but the right stands, and we will answer.
Write to hello@evisachecker.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the data-protection authority in your country.
Children
This site is a reference tool for travellers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
Changes
When this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page changes with it. The site is published from a public change history, so revisions are a matter of record rather than something that happens quietly.
