You can board a flight to Malawi on a passport from Cyprus with no visa. You may stay up to 30 days per visit. Immigration will still want to see a return ticket, somewhere to stay, and enough money for the trip.

- Malawi's e-Visa fee is paid by Visa or Mastercard in US dollars and is not refunded if the application is rejected.
- Since 24 February 2026 some nationalities can get a visa on arrival, while others must get a visa before departure. Malawi still encourages applying online at evisa.gov.mw before you travel.
How long it takes
The e-Visa's validity starts from the date of issue, not the date you enter.
