Indonesia passport Laos

Do Indonesians need a visa for Laos?

No visa needed.

Visa free 30d

You can board a flight to Laos on a passport from Indonesia with no visa. You may stay up to 30 days per visit. Immigration will still want to see a return ticket, somewhere to stay, and enough money for the trip.

No application

There is nothing to apply for and nothing to pay.

Book your flight. Any site offering to sell you a Laos visa, permit or "travel authorisation" for this trip is selling you something you do not need.

If you are travelling on a different passport, Laos's official entry rules are at laoevisa.gov.la.

What Laos asks for

  • Passport valid for more than 180 days from arrival
  • Scan of the passport bio page, including the two MRZ lines
  • Photograph 4x6 cm, taken within the last 6 months
  • The eVisa Approval Letter, shown on arrival

Worth knowing

  • The eVisa fee is not refundable.
  • The eVisa can be used only at the airports, bridges and railway stations the site lists as eVisa ports.
  • Carry the Approval Letter. Without it you will be refused entry.

How long it takes

Apply no more than 60 days and no less than 5 days before you arrive.
