You can board a flight to Vietnam on a passport from Norway with no visa. You may stay up to 45 days per visit. Immigration will still want to see a return ticket, somewhere to stay, and enough money for the trip.
- Status
- Visa free
- Stay permitted
- 45 days
- Government fee
- Nothing to pay
- Typical decision
- No application
There is nothing to apply for and nothing to pay.
Book your flight. Any site offering to sell you a Vietnam visa, permit or "travel authorisation" for this trip is selling you something you do not need.
If you are travelling on a different passport, Vietnam's official entry rules are at evisa.gov.vn.
What Vietnam asks for
- Passport valid for at least 30 days beyond the date the e-Visa is issued
- A portrait photo and a photo of the passport data page, uploaded in the application
Worth knowing
- The e-Visa fee is paid on evisa.gov.vn and is not refunded if the visa is refused.
- You must enter and leave Vietnam through one of the international border gates the government designates for e-Visa holders.
- The only official e-Visa site is evisa.gov.vn. Many lookalike 'Vietnam visa' sites charge more for the same application.
