You can get the visa at the border rather than beforehand. Bring the fee in cash in the currency the border post accepts, plus a return ticket and your accommodation details. A visa on arrival is a permission, not a guarantee.

Before you fly

What Kyrgyzstan asks for
- Passport valid for at least 6 months after the visa ends, with at least 2 free pages
- Scan of the passport data page
- Digital photo
- Credit or debit card for the fee (it does not have to be in your name)
Worth knowing
- The e-Visa fee is not refunded if the application is refused, or if the e-Visa goes unused.
- Do not buy your air ticket until the e-Visa is approved.
- Unless your nationality is exempt, you must register your place of stay within 5 working days of arriving.
- Each traveller needs their own e-Visa, including infants and children on a parent's passport.
