Switzerland passport Peru

Do Swiss citizens need a visa for Peru?

No visa needed.

Visa free 90d

You can board a flight to Peru on a passport from Switzerland with no visa. You may stay up to 90 days per visit. Immigration will still want to see a return ticket, somewhere to stay, and enough money for the trip.

No application

There is nothing to apply for and nothing to pay.

Book your flight. Any site offering to sell you a Peru visa, permit or "travel authorisation" for this trip is selling you something you do not need.

If you are travelling on a different passport, Peru's official entry rules are at aplicaciones.rree.gob.pe.

What Peru asks for

  • A valid passport
  • Return ticket to Peru, e-ticket or reservation
  • Hotel booking, tour package, or an invitation letter legalised by Peru's Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Two colour passport-size photographs
  • A recent bank statement showing you can support yourself
  • Proof of payment of the consular fee, uploaded with the application

Worth knowing

  • Apply online through Peru's e-SAMI system; the application is then sent to the consular office you chose.
  • Payment only lets you submit an application. It does not guarantee a visa and is not refunded if you are refused.

How long it takes

Each application is assessed individually by the Peruvian consul, who may ask for an interview or more documents. The decision is sent to the email address you registered.
