Book your flight. Any site offering to sell you a Japan visa, permit or "travel authorisation" for this trip is selling you something you do not need.

Worth knowing
- Japan charges the visa fee only if the visa is issued. An approved agency adds its own handling fee.
- Visa fees rose on 1 July 2026. Older figures you see online are out of date.
- Depending on your nationality and purpose, the fee may be waived or differ from the standard amount.
