eVisa (electronic visa). A real visa application, made online instead of at an embassy. It is assessed, it takes days rather than minutes, and it can be refused.
You apply online before you travel and are approved before you fly. There is no embassy appointment and no interview — you fill in a form on the government's own site, pay the government's fee, and carry the approval with you.

Before you fly

What Liberia asks for
- Passport valid for at least six months, plus a scan of it
- Colour portrait photo on a neutral background
- Flight ticket scan (optional)
- The approval letter with QR code, printed or on your phone, to show at the airport
Worth knowing
- If there is a Liberian embassy in your country, you must apply there instead of through the Visa on Arrival portal.
- Visa on Arrival is only available at Roberts International Airport (ROB), Monrovia.
How long it takes
Apply online at least 7 days before your flight and no more than 3 months ahead. Once approved, you must enter Liberia within 3 months.
