You can get the visa at the border rather than beforehand. Bring the fee in cash in the currency the border post accepts, plus a return ticket and your accommodation details. A visa on arrival is a permission, not a guarantee.

Apply on the official Türkiye government site
This is the government's own portal. We are not paid to send you there, and there is no service in between.
Checked 18 October 2026 — read the fees and rules on mfa.gov.tr
What Türkiye asks for
- Passport valid for at least six months from arrival
Worth knowing
- evisa.gov.tr is the only official e-Visa site. Other sites selling a Türkiye e-Visa apply on the same site and charge more than twice the official fee.
- The e-Visa is for tourism or business only. Work and study need a visa from a Turkish embassy or consulate.
How long it takes
Apply online at evisa.gov.tr. The fee depends on your nationality and is shown when you start the application.
