You can get the visa at the border rather than beforehand. Bring the fee in cash in the currency the border post accepts, plus a return ticket and your accommodation details. A visa on arrival is a permission, not a guarantee.

What Türkiye asks for
- Passport valid for at least six months from arrival
Worth knowing
- evisa.gov.tr is the only official e-Visa site. Other sites selling a Türkiye e-Visa apply on the same site and charge more than twice the official fee.
- The e-Visa is for tourism or business only. Work and study need a visa from a Turkish embassy or consulate.
