Electronic travel authorisations and eVisas

A travel authorisation is a short online form for people who can already visit without a visa. An eVisa is a real visa application made online. Both are sold by agents for far more than the official fee. Here is each one's official price and site, with the date we read it.

Not to be confused with

The UK eVisa is not a way to visit the UK. It is the digital record of someone's immigration status, for people who already have permission to live, work or study there.

The difference between each kind of permission is in our guide, eTA, ESTA, ETIAS, eVisa: what's the difference.
