Tool
Free Passport and Visa Photo Resizer
Choose the document, add a photo, line your face up with the guides and save it at the exact size the government publishes. Your photo never leaves this device: it is not uploaded, sent or stored.
This resizes to the published size. The issuing authority decides whether a photo is accepted. It does not check lighting, focus, expression or background, and it does not remove a background.
1 Document
2 Photo
A straight-on photo against a plain background works best. Take it in even light, at eye level, from about a metre and a half away.
3 Line it up
Drag the photo to move it. Use the slider, or pinch, to zoom. Put the chin on the dashed line and the top of the head inside the orange band, with the eyes inside the teal band.
This specification does not publish a head size or eye line, so no guides are drawn. Centre the face and leave space above the head.
4 Check it yourself
Tick each one honestly. Nothing here is checked for you, and nothing is recorded.
5 Save
Print the sheet at 100% ("actual size"), not "fit to page", on 4×6 inch (10×15 cm) photo paper, and cut along the grey lines.
Where the sizes come from
Every size here was read off the issuing government's own page, and each document shows the page and the date we read it. Countries we have not checked are not offered: we would rather leave a country out than resize to a guess. The full table, including the rules this tool cannot check for you, is on passport and visa photo requirements by country.
